It takes energy and practice to stay confident in yourself and your abilities. If you’re running a business, you need to believe in yourself to market yourself and grow your business effectively. But with everything that’s going on in the world lately, it isn’t always easy to ramp up your business confidence and put yourself out there more. You may find yourself feeling uncertain about your future, unsure of your direction and getting more rejections than usual. And when that happens, your levels of confidence start to drop, and you may find it hard to ramp them back up again.
But confidence is an essential part of your business success story – it’s why I made sure to add it to my Soul Story Sales® framework. Your levels of confidence not only impact on your mood and motivation; they also impact on your level of business success too. It’s therefore crucial that you keep your confidence high – and the easiest way to do that is to make it a daily practice. So to help you out here’s 7 habits you can incorporate into your daily routine!
#1: Ramp up your confidence by gathering client testimonials
No matter how big or small the praise, gather those client testimonials together! Why not print them out and store them in a little pretty box? That way, when you’re feeling a little ‘off’, you can pick some out at random and remind yourself how great you are.
#2: Celebrate all of your achievements
Please take all the big and small wins and celebrate them. It doesn’t matter if it’s a personal achievement or a business one, just remind yourself of all the good things you’ve already achieved. Remember though; it can be anything – so whether it’s getting out of bed when you’re feeling down, or going live on Facebook – it all counts!
#3: Get known in Facebook groups
I’m sure you’re in several business Facebook groups, so why not make use of them whilst being of service? Look to answer any questions you know the answer to – whether it’s in your niche or just something you know.
#4: Ask your audience how you can help them
If you want to ramp up your confidence, be helpful to others. A great way to do this is to ask your audience what their biggest questions are – and then do what you can to answer them. Why not schedule a recurring email to your list or a post on your social media, to regularly ask for their questions?
#5: Visualise your future self and ramp up your business confidence
Regularly visualising yourself (and achieving) what you want to do, is another good way to boost your confidence. Not only does it remind you that it is possible, but it also helps you get used to how it will feel to be that person and be happy. Because yes, you ARE allowed to be happy! I find for me, it’s best to do this exercise each morning before I start work. Go with what feels good for you, as doing it is more important than thinking about when best to do it!
#6: Be a guest for another business
Writing a guest post or being on someone else’s podcast will not only boost your confidence, but it can also boost your mailing list! Being a guest enables you to get in front of a larger audience and showcase what you know. You may not be able to do this one every day, but you can certainly be scoping out potential new avenues and ideas on a daily basis.
#7: Know why you’re doing this
Remind yourself daily, why you’re in business. What is it that you want to achieve? How are you going to help others? Why do you do what you do, and why that particular niche? When you step out of your own way and remind yourself who you’re looking to help, you ramp up your confidence and connect back in with your soul purpose.
It does take energy and practice to stay motivated. But if you want to ramp up your business confidence, these daily habits don’t have to take up a lot of your time, but they will pay dividends to you and your business.
So over to you. What do you do, to boost your confidence? If you don’t yet have a daily practice in place, which of the above habits will you implement first? I’d love to hear about your thoughts, experiences and ideas – so do please post them below!
